MOGRA (Meals of Gratitude)
This project brings fresh and hygienic home-cooked meals to children in migrant labor communities, who are alone at home while their parents work as daily wage laborers. Project MOGRA was started to complement Project MARIGOLD that provides daily education and support with school supplies. The provision of nutritious meals and fruits has enabled a sustained increase in engagement seen in these children who are the target beneficiaries of both these projects, resulting in measurable improvement in their literacy and health status. In addition, the project has recently started to distribute uncooked lentils and rice to parents of these children to ensure that children continue to receive adequate nutrition at their homes.
